Istanbul historic mosque receives false bomb alarm

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - A bomb threat near Eminonu district's historic Yeni Camii in Istanbul has resulted in all roads in the vicinity being blocked on Friday, but the police later claimed it a false alarm.

All roads were blocked for a while, and police were checking bags of all pedestrians.

The 16th century Yeni Camii, or New Mosque, is located in the Eminonu district on the European side right by the Golden Horn and is one of the best known sights of Istanbul.
